BMAA Departments
Fifth Street Baptist Church of Levelland, Texas, is a proud member church of the Baptist Missionary Association of America (BMAA) and gladly supports these departments or ministries.
All BMAA departments are cohesively working toward the fulfillment of the charge the Lord gave to His churches in Matthew 28:18-20, "And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen."

Our state association's Welcome page says, "The Baptist Missionary Association of Texas (BMAT) consists of over 460 Baptist churches across the state of Texas. Our association endeavors to unify the work of the churches as they fulfill the Great Commission in their local communities, the state of Texas, and ultimately, the world." |
|
|
Our state paper is a "must read" tabloid, published twice monthly. It is here that we are able to keep abreast of associational news and the work of sister churches. Relevant commentary on current events, interesting articles, and Biblical Sunday School lessons are all included in every issue. |
|
|
The BMAT Baptist Book Center is much more than just a place to buy Christ-centered books. You can order – at very competitive prices – everything from offering envelopes to Sunday School literature; VBS curriculum and materials; hymnals; communion sets; choir robes; and materials for your church's GMA, WMA, Galilean, and Sunbeam ministries. Check it out! |

This document is in full agreement with what Fifth Street Baptist Church believes the Bible to teach. We were glad to vote on its approval and adoption by the Baptist Missionary Association of America several years ago. |

This document is proudly and prominently displayed in many Baptist churches today. We believe and profess it in toto.
PRINTING TIP: If you print this Church Covenant, you will probably want to do so on legal-size, 8-1/2"x14" paper. |

Read the proud history of the oldest Baptist church in Levelland: Fifth Street Baptist Church! Originally, she was named Fifth Street Missionary Baptist Church. We are thankful, even today, to be associated with other churches whose middle name is "Missionary," working together in the Baptist Missionary Association (of Texas and of America). |

We will try to have each Sunday morning's bulletin uploaded to the website by the previous Friday morning. Reading this will give you some idea of what you'll miss if you don't come and worship with us! :-)
TIP: Both the bulletin and newsletter are fairly large files. Click the link only once. |

“I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;”
(I Timothy 2:1). 'Nuff said! |

This is our latest church newsletter which is snail-mailed to church members and anyone who requests it. You can read it here before the postman brings it to them! It will be replaced each month as the new one becomes available.
TIP: Both the bulletin and newsletter are fairly large files. Click the link only once. |
"Day By Day" |
Read your Bible through in one year! Click here for a sequential Day By Day schedule. You'll read from Genesis through Revelation in twelve months, just like it appears in your Bible. Click here for a chronological schedule. You'll still read the entire Bible, but in what most conservative scholar/theologians believe is the order in which the Scriptures were written or in which the events took place.
Either schedule will print – front and back – on one 8.5"x11" sheet of paper to be folded and kept conveniently in your Bible. Print one for each family member and read together! |

May this poem bring comfort to those anticipating Christmas for the first time without a loved one who has graduated to glory. |
Hymnal e-Index |
This will likely only interest church music directors, song leaders, music/worship leaders, etc. Click here to read a more detailed explanation of the functionality of the Hymnal e-Index. The e-Index is FREE and, briefly, allows you to filter out only hymns that have specific time and/or key signatures for planning your worship services. In addition, the e-Index for the Baptist Hymnal also allows for filtering by the hymn or lyric meter. Choose the index for either the 1997 Celebration Hymnal or the 1991 Baptist Hymnal. Or feel free to download both if you wish! Hopefully, one for the new 2008 Baptist Hymnal will be ready by this fall. Check back often! |
